Junior athletes meet Olympic hero

Participants in SAIMA TSI corporation Junior Athletics Program attended their annual Trip to compete in the Ergon Energy Athletics North Queensland track and field championships at the Townsville Sports Reserve.

While there all athletes met with Olympic Games competitor (1996 and 2000) Kyle Van Der Kuyp who attended in support of the Jump Start to London 2012 Program, which offers elite indigenous athletes the opportunity to train in preparation for the Games in London 2012.
SAIMA TSI corporation is the only Torres Strait Organisation within the Central Queensland Region.
